What does a small independent family owned business do when they are brimming with new ideas - need a new website - don't know where to start - and do not want to spend lots of money on a big consultancy with a formal and fairly standard approach? Whitten Metalworks is a family owned business started in 2000 bringing together expertise in management, finance and architectural metalwork, with a total commitment to their Customers. Their original website was developed in house and initially suited their needs, as typically for this company, they were ahead of their competitors in having a website, although it did not do justice to the full range of services and products that Whitten Metalworks offer.

They approached us with a view to revamping their website and bring a fresh look to the website to truly showcase the entire range of services and products at Whitten Metalworks. It soon became apparent that Whitten Metalworks management team needed help to sift through all the options they were looking at and support them in obtaining quick wins whilst developing an effective longer term strategy.

One of the roles that d2 can perform is that of trusted advisor. So whilst we are busy creatively generating options for a new website, we are actively supporting the client in their decision making so that they achieve an appropriate solution for their business needs within the constraints of what the business can afford. In this case that was focusing on quick wins of a new look and feel, together with adding a business news section which differentiates Whitten Metalworks from their competitors.
