Case study: Rebound UK

When James, master trainer and co-owner at Rebound UK got together with Dave Nyss of d2 Solutions they both had a Dilemma...

The existing website was underperforming; if it had been a person in a sales team it would have been sacked. The layout was inconsistent, it lacked the energy the product had and it was very time consuming and difficult for James to maintain.

Dave talked through with James all the things a website should be to truly work hard at supporting business growth online and they agreed on a plan for the re-design; incorporating many things such as ease of use, ease of doing business and delivering a high energy site which is really enjoyable to visit and spend time with.

James knew what he needed and wanted for his business but there wasn’t the budget to do that much straight away so how to move forward…

The solution they came up with was to do a great design that reflected the energy of the product and the enthusiasm of James, develop some straight forward templates that provided flexibility for future marketing messages, but and this is the tricky part James had to write and upload his own content.

It was a bit frustrating to be honest’ says James, ‘I had to learn a few skills which are outside of where my strengths lie; but Dave was incredibly patient with me and now it is finished I am really proud of what we managed to achieve in the time frame and within budget’.

I cannot tell you what a dramatic improvement it is and I am always very confident to give out the website address whoever I am talking to. The feedback from my staff and my customers is that they love it’.

James intends to revisit the content with the help of d² editorial services; but this is a great example of where flexibility can deliver early with a longer term plan for further enhancement.

d² Solutions pride themselves on flexibility and their responsiveness grows out of their ability to really listen carefully to their Clients needs and constraints as well as their visions and dreams.

Industry wisdom suggests that good content is as important as good design, however, when you cannot afford both initially; there is always a way of getting started, in a highly professional way without compromising on the really important things.

Happy confident Customers are at the centre of the d² approach and I have just interviewed another one. Fi McKinlay provider of editorial services to d²Solutions
